Mangools Reviews – What Others Think About This Tool

Mangools has very positive feedback online. On review aggregator websites, it has the following ratings (as of April 8, 2021):

  • 4/5 stars based on 15 reviews on Trustpilot.
  • 7/5 stars based on 34 reviews on Capterra.
  • 4/5 stars based on 21 reviews on G2.

When it comes to strong sides, users have praised Mangools for its intuitiveness and functionality. The user interface received particular praise for its sleek design and easiness of use. As for downsides, some users noted that its metrics are sometimes not consistent with higher-end tools, such as Ahrefs. But it should be noted that Ahrefs is significantly more expensive.

Brian Dean of Backlinko has also reviewed Mangools.

Brian Dean liked Mangools’ easiness of use and value, but he pointed out that this suite isn’t as functional as some of its more expensive competitors – most notably, Ahrefs and Semrush. As a verdict, Dean writes:

Whether or not you go with Mangools depends on who you are. And how much you have to spend on SEO.

If you’re a blogger or someone that does SEO on the side, you may not have a huge SEO tool budget. And if you are on a tight budget, you can squeeze a lot of value out of Mangools. At 30 bucks a month you get access to A LOT of valuable features for keyword research, backlink analysis and more.

That said: you can’t really compare Mangools to Ahrefs or SEMrush: the two best SEO tools on the market. They’re in different leagues.

( . . .)

If you’re an SEO expert, you’re much better off spending the extra money on Ahrefs or SEMrush. These two tools may be more expensive than Mangools, but they are much more feature-rich than Mangools.

What Mangools Alternatives Are Available?

There are many Mangools alternatives out there – some of the most notable SEO toolsets are Ahrefs, Semrush, and Ubersuggest by Neil Patel.

Mangools vs Ahrefs

Ahrefs is a more expensive SEO tool, costing between $99 to $999 per month (less if paid annually).

This is reflected in the feature set available in Mangools. Here are a few highlights from Brian Dean’s review.

Mangools doesn’t have some of the features that its main competitors have. For example, Ahrefs has a tool called Content Explorer that helps you find highly-shared content.

It [KWFinder] doesn’t produce as many keyword suggestions as its competitors, like Ahrefs and SEMrush.

 But he then adds:

So yeah, I think that KWFinder is solid. It’s right up there with the keyword research tools that you’d find in Moz Pro and Ahrefs.

Additionally, Dean praises Mangools’ use of third-party databases, particularly for links:

Unlike Moz, SEMrush and Ahrefs, Mangools doesn’t have its own link index. Instead, they use the Majestic SEO API.

To me, this is actually a good thing. I’ve seen lots of smaller tools try to build their own link index. Which is VERY hard and VERY expensive. And their backlink checkers end up being pretty crappy.

G2 also provides aggregate scores for Mangools and Ahrefs features based on user reviews. According to G2, here’s how Mangools compares with Ahrefs:

  • Mangools is easier to use and set up.
  • Ahrefs is better when it comes to keyword suggestions, SERP rank tracking, or rank alerts, but Mangools is better at localization.
  • The backlink and link building tools at Ahrefs’ disposal are much more functional.
  • Ahrefs has better data visualization and SEO reporting functionalities.

Mangools vs Semrush

Semrush is more expensive than Mangools as well, costing $119.95 to $449.95 per month (less if billed annually).

In his Mangools review, Brian Dean drew parallels between Mangools and Semrush. Among other things, Dean writes:

[After comparing Mangools’s features to Ahrefs] And SEMrush has an excellent SEO site audit tool and a giant suite of features to help with PPC campaigns. These are just a few of many examples of features that Mangools lacks.

Dean didn’t go into as much detail with his Semrush vs Mangools comparison as with Ahrefs.

According to G2, here’s how Mangools compares with Semrush:

  • Mangools is much easier to use and set up.
  • Mangools’s search volume data is better than Semrush’s.
  • Mangools offers better keyword suggestions and search volume data, but Semrush is better at long-tail keyword research.
  • Mangools’s rank tracking by localities is better, but Semrush has superior rank alerts.
  • Semrush has more powerful link building features.
  • Semrush’s reporting functionality is noticeably better.

Mangools vs Ubersuggest

Neil Patel’s Ubersuggest is considerably cheaper than the Mangools suite, starting from $12 per month. Ubersuggest offers a lifetime buying option as well, ranging from $120 to $400, depending on the plan.

According to G2, here’s how Mangools compares with Ubersuggest:

  • Mangools has met the requirements of many more users.
  • Mangools is much easier to use than Ubersuggest.
  • The Mangools customer support team is superior to that of Ubersuggest.
  • Keyword suggestions, long-tail keywords, and search volume data were much better with Mangools.
