Talking about how his first work experience actually gave him the courage to dive deeper into the world of affiliate marketing in an interview, Robert said:

“After I finished my studies, I got a job at a startup called Elephant Traffic. What they did is similar to what ZeroPark does now.  When working there I got involved with everything, including marketing, finances, operations, IT management, project management, sometimes even HR. It’s the experience that changed my life…”

Through an article titled “Codewise: The Untold Story Behind The Second Fastest Growing Company In Europe” and published on Medium in 2018, Robert Gryn shared an extensive overview of the journey that led to him taking charge of the company and contributing to its success.

Below is an excerpt from the article:

Codewise wasn’t originally my company; it was founded by three other guys and it was destined to be a rather typical outsourcing gig. In 2011 I approached them along with a handful of other Polish software companies, asking for a quote for my first startup (WeSave.pl). Codewise got back to me with the most reasonable offer and so our cooperation began. With time I decided to start a second project (Zeropark) and we worked on the two in parallel.

After founding Zeropark in 2011, he founded Voluum two years later.

In 2015, Codewise was awarded the Deloitte Fast 50 Rising Star Award and was the winner of both the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 and Big Five rankings in Central Europe in 2016.

In 2017, Robert became one of the youngest self-made men to break into the Forbes 100 richest Poles List

The University of Surrey, where Gryn graduated with a BSc Entrepreneurship in Technology in 2008, did an interview with him. In it, he talks about how the success of his company is his career highlight: “ growing the company without any external funding (bootstrapped) and becoming the second fastest-growing company in Europe according to the Financial Times.”

On October 17th, 2018, Gryn passed on the mantle of Codewise’s Chief Executive Officer to Dr. John Malatesta, the current CEO and executive chairman at the time of writing.
